Finding the words to describe this book is like trying to describe a smell from years ago. I don't love this book and I don't hate it, but after reading it I feel bewildered and hopeless. It's a book I find very interesting in that it tells an extremely tragic story of a person's lifelong struggle with depression as a result of everyone around them not taking their mental health and addictions seriously. Yet I would never recommend this book to someone else, as I think this is one of the worst books for a person who's going through a rough time to read. I read this just now in my last semester of college as I'm struggling to find a job, struggling with my senior projects, and as someone who has struggled with ADHD and depression since high school. After reading every single chapter I had to put the book down and think how just one poor choice on my part could lead to a downward spiral similar to Yozo's
