The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss

5.0

“Let’s stop there,” he said. “Money in my pocket for the first time in my life. Surrounded by friends. That’s a good place to end for the night.”

Pretty sure I read this one faster than TNOTW, I absolutely loved it. All the scenes in the university were great and I could read a whole novel just about Simmon and Will's day-to-day in The University;
Their friendship with Kvothe was written so well that it reminded me of my own friends lol
Denna's scenes are still my least favourite part, but eh, they dont take that long;
The scenes in the Fae world were really cool (I saw so many people talking about the Felurian sex scenes, but it wasn't even that annoying, a bit awkward for sure, but nothing much);

In the end I loved it even more than the first one, but it's kinda hard to talk about this one without acknowledging the controversy Rothfuss got into and the fact that, after 12 years, we still have no news of the third book. I want to be optimistic that one day the book might come out and seeing him talk about how he wants to get back at writing is promising, but still not enough.
