The Great Pretender
by Susannah Cahalan
informative
medium-paced
Blowing the lid off of scientific research, the creation of the DSM and the importance of transarancy in medical studies.
- I really thought I was going to breeze through this and be forever changed.
- What ended up happening was it took me weeks, and I really had to push myself to finish it.
- It’s well written, well researched, and hits the point home about how scientific research needs to be revamped and scrutinized.
- It was simply sooo much information to take in that I was overwhelmed and disengaged a lot of the time - which is no fault of Cahalan, she is an excellent writer.
