I liked this one less than the first one. Like the first one, there was a lot of drama but this one felt like it had even more drama than the first. I especially hated the drama with Taylor and Belly. I also hated the drama with Mr. Fisher. I appreciated the moments of depth whenever they navigated their grief. For the most part, though, there was just a lot of drama and fighting. I didn’t find any of the characters particularly lovable in this one. I overlooked some of it because they were hurting but some of it was just drama and immaturity. I liked them at times but most of the time they were annoying.
Conrad is still my favorite boy even though he was still being a jerk. I just think he is hurting and needs space and isn’t ready for a serious relationship.
The moments I did enjoy was the memories of Susannah and the memories from when they were kids. I also enjoyed the cute moments with Conrad and Belly that weren’t filled with drama and fighting.
This book also felt quick and had an abrupt ending.
Overall, I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the first one.
