Angels Flight by Michael Connelly
5.0

Angels Flight is a historic landmark in LA. The two trolley cars even have pet names. But the nostalgic tram system becomes historic for another reason, a high profile murder.

When Harry Bosch is called in the middle of the night by Deputy Chief Irving to come out to the crime scene he is surprised. Angels Flight is not part of the Hollywood division and Harry is immediately aware that the case will be very unique and probably very political. He soon discovers that is the case when he arrives on scene. One of the victims is a high profile lawyer that is famous for suing the LAPD. So not only does most of the police department become suspects, the minority community that the victim championed will be outraged by the murder. The potential to relive the riots of 1992 is highly likely if the case is not handled correctly.

Harry must maneuver the politics and racial tensions to find the truth. He will get to the bottom of it no matter what the implications and repercussions.

This is another excellent mystery/thriller by Connelly. Highly recommend this series to all genre fans.
