Seraphs by Faith Hunter

5.0

I did what I typically don't. I immediately started the next-in-series after finishing the first. I had to, I felt compelled. I didn't want it to turn into how long it took me to start the Rogue Mage series if I didn't start immediately after finishing BLOODRING. I also really needed to know what was going to happen next.
Glad I did, as I am not sure I'd have remembered everything if I waited too long. Both books are busy, action-filled adventures. SERAPHS is bloodier I think. I still feel for Thorn as now her mage abilities are known and the prejudices appear. And the power plays. Thorn just wants to help, but feel helpless. She was sent to this town in the middle of her mage training and she has only an inkling who and what she is.
I am glad she has people who are friends and who she can trust. They don't number in the many, but they are stalwart. She needs them. She is strong but still needs help.
I feel compelled to go to the bookstore and get the next in series, HOST. Super cliffhanger in SERAPHS.
Definite recommend.
