Eagle Strike by Anthony Horowitz

3.5

2020 review:

3.5 stars. This was a pretty good installment in the series!

Some quick notes:
• Alex "I'm just a schoolboy!" Rider is the Worst Spy and I just love that for him.
• No, I'm sorry, I don't believe Alex could disguise himself as an inanimate figure/statue and just hang out on a truck without being noticed by actual guards, absolutely not.
• There is a really gruesome death in this one??? Isn' this supposed to be for kids?
• I was listening to this on audio and I have to admit that I kind of got distracted when the ending was going on, but I did go and read about the climax on wikipedia, and it sounded really exciting.
• The villain of this one was good, probably not very realistic but I thought he was cool.
• Because I have mentioned racist parts of the series in my comments on the last three books, I'm also just going to quickly mention that I didn't notice any particular racist jokes/villains/etc in this one, but of course it's possible that I missed something.
