The House of Hades by Rick Riordan
5.0
The plot, in my opinion, gets better and better with each new volume. This novel has the most sadness of any I've read so far. Reading it made me cry, and I adore Bob and Calypso. I really admire the sacrifices they make for the demigods; they are ones of the best supporting characters.
In this novel, the characters has also truly started to develop. These seven children of Olympus have come so far and learned so much, and all of that has served as fertilizer for them to reach their greatest potential.
I did wish the book had given greater attention to Nico's reasons for not coming out as gay and for feeling rejected by Camp Halfblood. It just didn't seem to be a big deal for the story. It would be wonderful to see Nico address his love for Percy, though.
Overall, the book is awesome and you should read it!
