No star rating because this isn’t my jam, it was 90% erotica. I will say the writing was mediocre imo but sex scenes are plentiful if that’s what you’re here for - not creative, but plentiful. MMC is “touch her and die” personified.
If you want a similar setup (girl in bad circumstances forced to choose a man to protect her) but with more romance and less insta-sex (and orc MMC), try Gentling the Beast. It’s not perfect, especially the writing, but it’s got more of the romance/drama I prefer. Alternatively there’s Exposed by HL Day, it’s an MM dystopia with a forced proximity protector situation; more of a slow burn with lots of action but still a gruff, violent and supremely protective MMC.
