3.5 stars. So unique and hauntingly beautiful. Very reminiscent of Grendel by John Gardener. Packs a punch in such a short time, covering abuse, climate change, homelessness, and loneliness in a book you can finish in an hour. The prose is so alluring though, you'll want to read it for longer. So wild to read this while LA is on fire.
