The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls
5.0
To start off I'm typically a reader of Fiction.
With that being said I really enjoyed the story and felt that it was told in a really well manor. On several instances it mentions or eludes to the fact that the author doesn't want people in her life to know her history. Which I can fully understand as someone who had a violent upbringing. Yet the story makes it very clear that you can never truly know the struggles of others.
This book had been on my-shelf for many years. It was one of a number of books recommended for a summer online sociology course I was taking in Nursing school. I had chosen another book at the time that was a little shorter.
