A Place for Us: A Memoir by Brandon J. Wolf

5.0

On June 12, 2016, tragedy happened. In attendance at the Pulse Nightclubs shooting Brandon made it out alive, his two best friends did not.
This is a memoir starting at life long before Pulse and the struggles he faced being mixed race and queer. This book comes with the obvious TW for gun violence/mass shooting but also SA and the hate the LGBTQ+ community receives. This memoir is beautiful and tragic. It’s an inside look at the struggles of growing up and the unpreparedness after one decision changes your life forever.
To Drew and Juan and the other 47 angels were taken far too soon. I hope this book helps find peace for those that need it.
