Scorpion is part of The Exodus Series Standalones, which includes 7 books by 7 amazing authors. They all share the same world but tell their own individual stories. It’s such a cool concept because these stories overlap at various points both on and off the pages surrounding a specific night called "The Reckoning".

The Reckoning.
All crime is legal on the night of the Reckoning.  Truly, anything goes.  There are no rules and nothing is off-limits when The Exodus plays their games. The event that happens only once every ten years.

There's nothing I love more than a badass FMC—give her a "pew pew" and make her one of the best snipers in the game, and I'm all in. Thrill of the Hunt delivers just that. As always, be sure to check the trigger warnings for this one. Zalak, the FMC, experiences severe PTSD from her time overseas. She joined the Army after being disowned by her parents, who wanted her to agree to an arranged marriage. She left everything behind, including her teenage love, Mathijs. Years later, battered and broken, Mathijs finds her and offers her a job as his bodyguard months beofre the Exodus Reckoning.

This book is wild and I loved it. I know these are all standalones but each book gives it's own separate insights on the Exodus and it has been fun putting all the puzzle pieces together. And the spice in spicing in this if you are wondering.

He speaks Dutch to her, and damn is it sexy.
