DNF because Julien was way too skeezy hiring Lumi because he was into her and drooling after her while she’s trying to work. Ironically, HE felt uncomfortable because his receptionist has a similar desire for a boss/employee relationship. Like wtf. After hearing about what the rest of the book entailed, I had to give up. To be fair, Lumi was a well-rounded and interesting protagonist. I would probably give a different book by this author a shot, but this one just wasn’t for me.
