I really wanted to like this, but certain things really grated at me. Just for once, I’d like to see some shounen manga that doesn’t make jokes about male characters creepily obsessing over how hot the female characters are. I just want to be able to read action stories and not hate the way the female characters are treated by both the male characters and the author. I might read the second volume to see if it improves, because I like the concept and I know Dragon Ball is a beloved series, but I’ll be honest, my hopes are not high.
