Strike Me Down by Mindy Mejia

4.0

Thank you to @Bibliolifestyle and Atria Books for the finished copy of Strike Me Down.

In this new thriller from Mindy Mejia, we meet Nora Trier, an expert in forensic fraud cases. She is hired by Strike Enterprises to uncover what happened to 20 million dollars that have disappeared and she only has one week to find out where the money is and who exactly took it. Nora soon finds herself in a confusing situation caught between a husband, Gregg Abbott and his wife, Logan Russo. In order to do her job, Nora must have neutrality, however, in this case, she may lack that with both Gregg and Logan. Nora recently had a one-night stand with Gregg and has been working out and attending Logan's gym classes (Logan is a famous kick-boxer and the face of Strike).

As Nora's investigation continues, new circumstances come to light about a recent Strike employee's death, one of her work partners ends up in critical condition in the hospital and Nora doesn't know who is to be trusted. Will Nora recover the funds in time? Will she be able to overcome her proximity and relationships with Gregg and Logan to determine the truth?

This was a fast-paced thriller that kept me engaged until the end.
