sometimes pushes the sparcity too far - to the point of confusing the reader instead of just isolating them. inventive, the voice is recognisable, a laser-cut match for the plot that will leave a haunting feeling even after the book is over. expresses a setting so small that reading it you don't even notice when it starts wrapping around your wrists. bare and very good.
