Farewell Summer by Ray Bradbury

2.0

Inescapable march of time, clock symbolism, bla bla bla....maybe because I haven't read [b:Dandelion Wine|50033|Dandelion Wine (Green Town, #1)|Ray Bradbury|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1374049845s/50033.jpg|1627774], but I didn't give a damn about Douglas and his ludicrous preteen delinquencies.

More awkwardly, I was beyond creeped out by both Quartermain's and Douglas's concluding conversations with their respective junk, both of which started with an uttered aloud "Who's there?" (Did you really need to ask that out loud? Is it really unclear where the new presence in the room is coming from?) A snippet from Douglas's: "Just lie there. You have two hearts now. Feel the pulse. One in your chest. And one below. Yes?"
