as i suspected, these books leave MUCH to be desired and sir philip crane is a HUGE flop. but always: eloise, you’ll always be the only bridgerton i love.
the beginning has pride and prejudice vibes but it’s like pride and prejudice if the feelings were not in fact pride or prejudice but sir philip crane solely wanting a mother for his children and less of a wife and eloise wanting to talk to a full-fledged human person that has feelings for her. which is a huge ask from philip. in the end we do get there but the journey is Not Great. i think their season of the show will be very popular but anyway, tldr; booooo philip crane we hate your hole.
