Of the 3 books I’ve read written by Silvia Moreno-Garcia (yes I plan to read them all) Gods of Jade and Shadow is by far my favorite story! I love the rapid story telling, and Casiopea’s strong yet naive personality and independent streak which only grew stronger throughout. The world building around Mexican folklore and mythology was fantastic with absolutely gorgeous details and each character so unique. I would love a part 2, 3 and 4 to see what adventures Casiopea gets into throughout her life and to see how Hun-Kamé changes. Do they find a way to reconnect?

I’d give more than 5 stars if I could! More please!!
