If you want cozy slice of life fantasy with enough plot to sustain your interest this book is for you. After a librarian and her talking spider plant are forced to flee the library they called home, they escape  to her childhood home on a far away island. The story is filled with found family, delightful characters and gorgeously described settings. The  variety of complications can make the plot pacing feel strange at times, but the slice of life elements smooth this out by making you want to stay in the world for longer.
