A Line to Kill by Anthony Horowitz
4.0
This one takes a bit longer to get going, dials back some of the meta insights into writing that I enjoyed, and is a bit drier until the mystery really kicks off (can’t blame Horowitz for inheriting a minor flaw from his literary ancestor), but boy howdy if the denouement doesn’t deliver. I’ve read and watched a lot of whodunnits, many of them a blast, but for my money, no one has even gotten close to Agatha’s ingenuity in plot and deception besides Horowitz and Rian Johnson. Fitting, then, that I finished this a day before seeing Glass Onion - the true Christie whodunnit lives!
