The Shadow of the Gods by John Gwynne
5.0

This is again a DAMN GOOD BOOK from The John Gwynne.

I came across John Gwynne when Sumit read the time of courage and when I saw the cover it blew my mind and then I started gathering information about him and the books he has written, and then I came across this book's cover reveal done by Petrik Leo and I'm greatfull till date that I watched that video. And when I started Malice in January I was not a very fast reader still I finished that book in 5 days and now that I've read all hos books which are out I don't know what to say. It's just amazing to read that brings out every known emotion in my mind.

Talking about book, This is a Norse inspired the epicest fantasy.

This book consists of 3 POV characters which are the least no. POVs used by him, but not a single time it lacks in quality. After reading his previous books, I said myself #don't get too attached but he has an unique ability to connect the characters emotionally to the reader and that makes the stakes higher for me and when he kills them it goes even higher. From the starting of this book, it will suck you in its world and will never let go. And when he is willing to kill them at any time, not a single one of them is safe for a moment in this books.

I will say this, I struggled a bit in the beginning as this is my first Norse inspired fantasy and I'm not accustomed to the names and all. But got used it later, and the culture and lore he shows time to time doesn't feel like he is dumping down the information, No it feels so genuine and original.
And who is to blame THE JOHN GWYNNE for his action sequences, whenever you're reading his book, he is going to provide with some of the best action, duel and battle sequences. The magic and all is descendent from the gods themselves so it's so cool.

At last just read the book .
