I think I enjoyed this pretty equally to throne of glass and it definitely felt like a continuation of the first book. Which is good because that’s what a series is I guess! I like where the story went and the twists at the end were great. I think that’s all I can say spoiler free so I’m going to do spoilers  now that will mostly be incoherent.
Firstly I still like chaol (help?) and I understand why he kept the secret from Celaena. I was genuinely surprised that Archer turned out to be so evil because I knew there was something going on with him but it was just further than I thought. I wasn’t really surprised with her being Aelin but only because I know that’s the main characters name from what I’ve seen on TikTok. I was surprised however by the whole fae thing and I’m very curious to see how that plays out.
I’m excited to read assassins blade and hopefully get some answers because all the characters feel like their keeping some kind of secret from me right now and at least I can start to unpack Celaenas.
