I'm not much of a sports fan, but this was so much more than a sports novel. While I felt disappointed that Pratchett seemed to drop other plotlines he seemed to set up (or at least, didn't pursue them as much as I'd hoped he would), this was yet another excellent addition to the Discworld canon.
