Long Bright River by Liz Moore

the writing style was unique and beautiful once I got used to it, I found myself equally invested in both timelines. though I agree with reviews that say this is more literary fiction than mystery/thriller, I was shocked by the plot twists and got literal chills while reading it. this story was heavy and dark but handled a the topic of addiction very well. I don’t often feel this way but this is the type of book I’d give in a blanket recommendation and, with the exception of avoiding triggers, tell everyone to read.
