LaValle really delivers here with this graphic novel that is a retelling/continuation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein (which I love) I adore how violent this is. And I also enjoy the discussion of police brutality against young black children. Grief and what a mother wouldn’t do for her child. The artwork in this is stunning and I enjoyed how this story progressed. There was a lot of good gore too. If you’re a fan of the Classic you’ll enjoy this!
