Did not finish book. Stopped at 57%.

I almost DFD'd like 70 pages ago when the first kiss happened, which was so random and unexpected that I had to put the book down for like 12 hours. But then I decided to come back to it. They went on their scouting trip, which had a couple of fun flirty moments and

the first spicey scene

, but then when they got back from the trip they

awkwardly sort of "broke up" except they weren't actually together. They just did the "it's better if we don't do this again because of the kids" thing

. And tbh I just wasn't invested enough in either character or their relationship or their barely-there chemistry to keep reading to see how they got over that.
