Their Vicious Darling by Nikki St. Crowe is the third installment of the vicious lost boys and offers a deeper exploration of the island's history, magic system, and the complex relationships between Winnie and her lost boys.
The story provides a wealth of background information, shedding light on the island's past and the workings of its unique magic especially around the magic of the shadows. We see that more characters are out to get the power of the shadows than we're led to believe originally. This additional context enriches the story and adds depth to the worldbuilding. Winnie's journey of self-discovery and her growing comfort with her own desires are central to the narrative. As she learns more about Kas, Bash, Vane, and Pan, her relationships with each of the lost boys deepen and become more complex.
If you're a fan of the Vicious Lost Boys series, Their Vicious Darling is a must-read.
