My Effin' Life by Geddy Lee

emotional funny informative lighthearted relaxing slow-paced

4.0

I'm not much of a memoir/auto-biography kind of guy. But I'm a HUGE Rush guy, and Geddy really put some thought into how to assemble this. It comes with a kind of necessary soundtrack, constantly mentioning both songs that influenced Rush and also the thought process behind nearly every song in Rush's discography. It doesn't shy away from his issues or that of the band: drug use, miscommunications, aging, issues with their love lives. But in that honesty is an undercurrent of being some of the kindest and most genuine rock-stars out there, and I found it informative and endearing.
