Spoon River Antologia by Edgar Lee Masters

3.0

Poetry anthology where each poem is an 'epitaph' of sorts for a citizen of Spoon River, mostly dishing on each other and how they died, but some are serious and rather poignant. Not a huge fan of most of the poems (or the style tbh), but a few are really good. So far (at only a third of the way through) my favorite poem is probably that of Serepta Mason. Not sure I'll finish to be honest, but it was a pleasant skim through and nice vibe for spooky season evening reading with a cup of tea.
