The Lost Wife by Alyson Richman

4.0

This novel follows the stories of Lenka and Josef, a young Jewish couple living in Prague on the eve of WWII. They marry and are immediately separated when his family secures visas to leave for America and she refuses to leave her family behind. She and her family are transferred to a Nazi ghetto where they struggle to survive. Josef is believed dead after his ship is a casualty of war. Told in alternating points of view, it is interesting how all the pieces fall together.
