The Darwin Awards 4: Intelligent Design by Wendy Northcutt

3.0

To be expected, lots of stories of incredibly thoughtless acts. I did like the intro to each chapter that gave a bit of background on the chapter theme (animals, weapons, etc.). The one on medicine in particular was great. It talked about how, genetically, some people never got the Black Death or AIDS despite repeated exposure. It focused on the Scandinavian population in particular which lead me to wonder about those who had/have been exposed to Covid but never showed symptoms. And why Black and Brown populations seemed to be hit harder with Covid than other populations. I know this isn't a 1:1 factor but just something to ponder.
