This story was cute and entertaining, but the beginning quarter of it was forced. The MMC and FMC become best friends within a few weeks of texting and speak as if they've been friends forever shortly after that. I don't mind the characters feeling that type of connection instantly, but I feel like they should have focused on it in their inner monologues and/or talked about it.

It's not everyday you have an instant connection like that with someone, where you feel like you've known them your whole life right at the beginning. Without a conversation or inner monologues where the characters acknowledge their connection was instantaneous and unique, their sudden close friendship seemed false and hollow.

Besides that, the main characters' relationship was fun to read about, with a gradual shift from friends to more. Their banter was funny, the way they supported each other was heartwarming and their communication issues were mostly understandable, given their ages and circumstances. I liked how both characters grew as the story progressed, even in their communication.
