Galactic Patrol, Lensman Series Book 3
by E.E. "Doc" Smith
The prose is turgid places, deeply purple in others. Death is so casual, it’s like ordering lunch. The characters are all archetypes and two dimensional at that. The author tells far too much and shows little. Most of the dialogue is flat.
Still, in spite of all this, I enjoyed it.
