Wild Crush by Simone Elkeles

I loved the first book.
I hated this one.
Monika is the most boring person ever. She has no personality, she's stubborn for no good reason, and she's always crying.
Vic is supposed to be some hardass badass but his POV makes him sound like a whiny, pathetic girl. He feels sorry for himself constantly while pining after Monika. It's quite sad how pathetic he is.

As soon as I saw the blurb I groaned. I knew one of two things was going to happen. Either Monika was going to cheat on Trey, or the author was going to turn Trey into a jerk so she could be with someone else without feeling guilty. It was the second one. Either way, I knew I wasn't going to be happy because I hate cheating and I hate when guys are suddenly made into jerks (when they weren't before) just so someone else can be with the girl.
I also thought this book would be light hearted and entertaining like the first book. It wasn't. halfway through, something unexpected happens and it made the rest of the book depressing as hell and dark. Vic's self-pity got old and annoying. Monika's pining over Vic right after
Spoiler Trey died
was disgusting. Even if he did suddenly become a jerk, she immediately lusted over someone else, thinking more about him than she did Trey.
I hated this book. Everything I loved about the first book was missing in this one.
