Dark Truth by Mariah Stewart

3.0

This is the third book in the truth series. We once again have the crime writer woman, and she is working on the backstory, of the report cards she found in her dad's basement after his death, that belonged to the kid who killed another kid then disappeared after he got out of juvie. i feel like the answer to this mystery is becoming super obvious as it goes on, but since the daughter or her fbi boyfriend aren't coming to the same conclusion as me, maybe i'm wrong. i guess i might find out in the next book. As to the main story in this book, nina, the crime writer's book editor, 's dad was convicted (& has since died) when she was a teen of a series of rapes and murders of local college women where he worked as a professor. now, after the death of her step mom, she finally looks into the case because of some new evidence, and has to see whether he actually committed these crimes or not. It was a little obvious, but not to the full extent of what we find out actually happened at the end. All in all, this is a good series, with a new old crime every book and good characters which reappear. I'm interested to read the next one!
