This book started off so strong for me, and I throughly enjoyed the first half narration between past and present. However, the last half left me underwhelmed. Exciting twists were left resolved with straight forward explanations instead of storytelling. It was hard to connect with characters and there was truely no character development for the protagonist of the story. The ending left me so confused I was sure I made a mistake and accidentally skipped some pages. Overall, the book was unfortunately a miss for me.
