The Convenient Marriage by Georgette Heyer

funny lighthearted tense fast-paced

4.0

Do you ever wish Jane Austen was just a bit more chaotic? Do you find Frances Burney a bit much? Then you'll love Georgette Heyer as much as I did! The Convenient Marriage is fast-paced, hilarious, and difficult to put down. I stayed up way too late reading because I had to know what would happen next, and many scenes were surprisingly tense for a regency romance. The ending is abrupt, but satisfying and makes delicious use of dramatic irony - in a fun way!
