This book was awesome, I was nerding out the whole time… man there were some really cool stories and chapters here. One of the things I really appreciated is that he gave specific stories and quotes from the movies that weren’t just opening lines but stayed consistent throughout.
I’ve read some other superhero stories by Christians and often times it’s a very shallow quick reference to a movie and then most of the chapters spent telling a similar story from the Bible. There’s nothing wrong with that, but being a Christian that reads his Bible pretty often I am looking not for this book to teach me about the Bible but to draw reflections between fiction and the biblical story which this book did excellently.
I do think that Frank’s family and son helped him a lot because there are so many nerdy references and quotes not just from old superhero movies but from very current ones like endgame, wonderwoman 1984, etc
I would for sure recommend this to anyone that lives a good superhero movie and also likes deep conversations because this is not shallow at all
