Lover Arisen by J.R. Ward

Balthazar is not in a good place. He's isolated himself from everyone, and is desperate to stay awake. Erika is struggling with gaps in her memory, and is unable to shake her feelings for the man in the video. Her history is absolutely devastating, which definitely affects how she interacts with other people.

V can't shake the feeling there's something going on, and tracks down Lassiter for confirmation of his gut feeling. Lassiter is really stuck between a rock and a hard place. He's struggling with the rules of engagement, and has to take a step back from helping ... which isn't going very well.

Raven is struggling to find a place in this new world she finds herself in, and Nate is beyond smitten with her. I'm a little gob-smacked at the direction this story line took ...

Davina is on the hunt for her true love, and finally the BOOK decides to help her. The requirements for the spell affects more characters than you'd expect. It also brings the arrival of a former foe of the BDB.

Man ... There's a lot going on in this book, but it's definitely a "set up" book for Lassiter's book ... which I cannot wait for!!
