I am a sucker for Beauty and the Beast retellings and historical fiction. So I was really looking forward to this book. But, this one had me hot and cold. There were funny moments that made me really enjoy the book and had me chuckling out loud.
I did not like the pacing of the book though. It had section that the story dragged on.
I would recommend it to anyone wanting a book that can be read within a day and enjoys historical romance. There wasn’t much Beauty and the Beast references other than the MMC had scars all over him.
