Deep in Providence by Riss M. Neilson

5.0

Deep in Providence is a magnetic and evocative read. A debut novel by the talented Riss Neilson, it follows the journey of Miliani, Inez, Natalie and Jasmine. Their bond grows stronger as they relish the late-night food trucks on Broad Street to The Hill that watches over the city. Every corner of Providence is etched with magic and memories. Jasmine suddenly passes away, leaving the girls with a gaping hole. This book is beautifully written with three parts exploring traditions, family dynamics, friendships and relationships. From the first page, I couldn't put this down and wanted to hear the stories of Miliani, Inez and Natalie. Riss has presented an intriguing plot that is well-placed and will give you all the feels.

I look forward to reading more of Riss' work. A 5-star read!
