War of the Sea by Dana Claire

5.0

A pirate adventure is always fun, but add in some mythology and you’ve raised the bar! The Greek mythology was exquisitely entwined in the characters and plot of the story.
This book was quite compelling throughout. The story flowed at a good pace, with lots of action and plot reveals at just the right moments to keep the reader engaged the entire time. I couldn’t put the book down.
The characters had layers that pealed away to reveal just how awesome they really are - side and main characters alike. I was deeply invested in each one very early on.
The enemies-to-lovers romance had just the right amount of angst (and misunderstanding), was not dragged out, nor was it too short. It was believable and the exchanges between Lou and Rye were fun. The dual perspectives added to my delight of the interactions between these two.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. The opinions above are my own and I truly did enjoy this story very much.
