The Murder Rule
by Dervla McTiernan
This is my first read from Dervla McTiernan, and it was a great one.
It is a legal thriller and a suspense novel.
When the Murder Rule begins.
It is 2019 when Hannah Rokeby relocates from Maine to Virginia to attend the University of Maine. Hannah needs to get into the university’s innocent project but, all the spots are taken. Hannah uses blackmail on the directors of the innocent project and utilizes it to gain access to the project and the case.
All of this is because, Hannah found her mother's diary, years earlier dated 1994.
The Murder Rule was suspenseful, and a fast read and the diary entry from her mother gives readers new information in just the right places.
The ending was one I was unable to predict - very twisty.
