well, well, well...this was such a nice ending for such a nice series. I felt like it was a very good conclusion but also I felt like it was missing something for being a 5 star read. what was it? I have no idea, but I felt it that way.
the way that parental abuse was introduced across this series and, in particular, in this book, was absolutely marvelous and necessary. meg didnt really grow in me but I definitely think that her character was necessary for the plot, for apollo's development and for her own development. apollo's character development was also amazing. I barely could stand him in the first book but, book by book, he was learning and, at the same time, growing a lot on me. and, as I always say, he has ABSOLUTELY NO RIGHT to be that funny. and so does Austin (I mean, there is a huge and dramatic battle going on and he appears with a sax and starts to play HAHAHHAHAHAHAH). in addition, the final chapters were very emotional. how apollo took his time to visit every single friend he made on the road was one of the best things on the series. however, it was such a shame that a series that is battling with PJO for my top 1 Rick Riordan series didnt had a 5 star book in it. damn, even HoO had a 5 star read. furthermore, I loved Leo's and Calypso's interactions in the second book (one of the best of this series), I started to like Rachel, SOLANGELO, Austin, Kayla, I even started to like Jason! but....THERE WAS NO ANNABETH. i mean, ik that percy and her are in one of the last chapters, but it felt a little bit forced. like if Rick wanted to put them but didnt know where; and that was such a pity. nonetheless, I LOVED this series. it was amazing. I would like to continue with the Kane chronicles and Magnus chase but I've decided that, after two months of exclusively reading the 15 books of PJO, HoO and ToA, I'm gonna take a little rest, read a couple of auto conclusive books and then go back to them. however, I definitely recommend reading this series!
