Elvis and Me: The True Story of the Love Between Priscilla Presley and the King of Rock N' Roll
by Priscilla Beaulieu Presley
Okay this was more like 3.5 stars. I really enjoyed this book and it was an easy read for sure. I don’t normally read memoirs so this was a nice change. I struggle though with just taking her word as truth. Obviously she could be telling us anything and we just have to believe it because there isn’t anyone to contradict her. It was annoying how full of herself she was as a MIDDLE SCHOOLER talking about how beautiful she was. Obviously the relationship was toxic she was 14 and he was much older when they met. But it was still interesting to see this side of Elvis’s life. Overall it was a good read, but after seeing how she treated her own granddaughter with the trial over Graceland I have a hard time thinking she’s this great person that she portrays herself as.
