Woman, Eating
by Claire Kohda
4 stars
This book used delicious allegory to hit on a lot of heavy topics like colonization, displacement, generational trauma, gender politics, ED, and more. I totally devoured it!
That being said, significant parts felt a little too drawn out and were somewhat uninteresting to me, while the meatier bits went by too quickly for my tastes.
Selfishly, I was hoping for more carnality from this vampiric literary horror, but if you prefer your dark stories a little more tame, I would recommend this in a mouthwatering heartbeat.
Will absolutely read from Claire Kohda again.
