This Thing Between Us
by Gus Moreno
felt very The Shining in some ways. im sort of surprised at myself for liking it; first half is a very candid display of grief over the death of a spouse, 2nd half is that but with more torment (of various sorts). i wish i could make more sense of the ending, but its not detracting from my experience at all and its a book that i feel fine with only theorizing what the ending means
"You were you and I was me and there was this thing between us."
