for a 600 page book, not a lot happens …
around the 75% mark i realised that basically nothing had happened, and in the last 25% none of our questions get answered and i realised i read so much for basically no pay off or reward which is incredibly irritating
connor is a horrible character - he’s selfish and rude and given no further depth than rich prince who’s never been told no, and on the one time he is told no he’s a brat and generally just not a nice person. and then at some points he’d randomly change and care about someone for 2 seconds and then go back to being horrible, which didn’t make sense in the first place and made him a character i did not care for
my main issue is that only within the last 50 pages do we get any real action, and it’s not enough to make me care for the next book or any of the characters. it’s just boring and incredibly disappointing
